Tour + Laptop

So here’s some news: we’re about to start playing shows where we route everything through our laptop. Now all five microphones, and both guitars, will go through the computer and be subjected to our very own combinations of distortion/reverb/autotune/pitch-shifting-to-harmonize-a-quarter-step-away-from-itself/whatever we can imagine. Yeah!! So much potential to be joyously, gloriously noisy in totally new ways. We’ve got semitonal guitar harmonies and swirly modulating background horror movie dissonance and there’s pitch shifting in some form or another on pretty much every song. And now we can add slapback to Abe’s voice and make him sound sort of like Elvis, which is like super basic but also really exciting to get to sound sort of like Elvis fronting Cesspool.
